Lactation

Forson PG 2mg Tablet is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.Monitor the breastfed baby’s blood sugar during treatment with Forson PG 2mg Tablet

Driving

Your ability to drive may be affected if your blood sugar is low or high. If this happens, do not drive.

Kidney
CAUTION

Forson PG 2mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Forson PG 2mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Use of Forson PG 2mg Tablet is, however, not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease. Regular monitoring of kidney function test is advisable while you are taking this medicine.

How to use Unithromb Ointment
This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Clean and dry the affected area and gently massage the ointment. Wash your hands after applying, unless hands are the affected area.

How to use Forson PG Tablet
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Forson PG 2mg Tablet is to be taken with food.Forson PG 2mg Tablet may cause stomach upset if taken empty stomach.

How Unithromb Ointment works
Benzyl nicotinate belongs to the class of medications called as vasodilators. It works by dilating the blood vessels and together with heparin (which dissolves/ prevents the formation of blood clots), increases the blood flow to the affected area thereby relieving the associated symptoms.

How Forson PG 2mg Tablet works
Forson PG 2mg Tablet is a combination of three antidiabetic medicines: Glimepiride, metformin, pioglitazone. They work by different mechanisms to provide better control of blood sugar when single or dual therapy is not effective. Glimepiride is a sulfonylurea which works by increasing the amount of insulin released by the pancreas to lower the blood glucose. Metformin is a biguanide which lowers glucose production in the liver, delays glucose absorption from intestines and increases the body's sensitivity to insulin. Pioglitazone is a thiazolidinedione which also increases the body's sensitivity to insulin.

Side Effects:

Common Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar level), Nausea, Altered taste, Diarrhoea, Stomach pain, Headache, Edema, Weight gain, Anemia, Blurred vision, Bone fracture, Upper respiratory tract infection.

Avoid contact with the eyes, mouth, and nose and rinse thoroughly in case of accidental contact or seek medical help in case of ingestion.
Do not apply the ointment on broken or injured skin.
Inform your doctor if you have any bleeding disorders, any severe kidney, liver or heart disorders.
Regular monitoring of platelet counts may be required to prevent thrombocytopenia (abnormally low number of cells (platelets) that are required for blood to clot.
Tell your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant or are breastfeeding.
